I’m not particularly interested in adding another one to the pile.

My photography is about humour, coincidence, observation and the unexpected. I’m interested in the things most people walk straight past…not the obvious photograph that 50 other photographers have already taken.

I call it humorous snapshot street photography.

I’ve put in the hard yards over two decades. Along the way I’ve won PDN Street 2016, amongst many other awards, had my work praised by Colin Westerbeck (writer, curator and co-author of Bystander: A History of Street Photography) and the the legendary Magnum photographer Martin Parr, as well as being exhibited and published internationally.

A Unique 1-2-1 Tutorial

Now I’m offering one-to-one, day-long street photography tutorials where I’ll show you how I approach the streets.

We’ll walk, look, shoot and talk all about street photography. I’ll show you how I look for visual jokes, strange juxtapositions, colour, coincidence and those split-second moments that can disappear before you’ve even realised they’re there.

No PowerPoint or impersonal online videos.

No structured workshop bullshit.

Just bring a digital camera (with a lens no longer than 50mm and ideally 28/35mm), comfortable shoes, your eyes and an open mind.

Tutorials are £125 for the day, usually on a Saturday.

Based in Weston-super-Mare or Bristol, with London available subject to my availability.
