When couples book me as their wedding photographer, they’re usually drawn to my candid, storytelling approach—rooted in my background as a street photographer. I document real moments as they unfold, capturing the energy, emotion, and spontaneity of the day without interruption or posing.
But I also know that every wedding is unique. And sometimes, even the most camera-shy couples want a handful of portraits or a few group shots with family and friends. And the good news? I’m more than happy to include them if you do.
A Documentary Approach with Flexibility

As a candid wedding photographer, I focus on unobtrusive coverage. I move quietly through your day, watching for the glances, the laughter, the unexpected hugs, and those blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moments. This street-inspired style brings a raw honesty to your wedding images. And that’s the main reason you have booked me.
That said, I totally understand the importance of capturing a beautiful shot of the two of you together. Maybe it’s for your thank-you cards, your parents’ mantelpiece, or just to have one framed image of you both all dressed up. So if you’d like a few relaxed portraits or some small group shots with your favourite people—no problem at all.
How It Works on the Day

We’ll chat before the wedding so I know exactly what’s important to you. If you want a few quick couple portraits, we’ll take 10–15 minutes somewhere quiet after the ceremony. Nothing stiff or formal—just natural, relaxed moments of the two of you being yourselves.
For group shots, I recommend keeping the list short and sweet—perhaps 5–8 key combinations. We’ll work quickly so you’re not stuck in a line-up while your guests are off enjoying the reception. I’ll help direct these shots so they’re done with minimal fuss, giving you more time to enjoy your day.
It’s Your Wedding, Your Way

Ultimately, I’m here to document your day in a way that reflects you as a couple. Whether that means zero posed photos or just a few well-chosen ones, I’ll adapt my approach to fit your needs.
So if you’re looking for a candid wedding photographer who’s happy to include a few group or portrait shots without turning your day into a photo shoot—you’ve found the right person.
Let’s capture your wedding exactly as it felt, with a few timeless portraits thrown in for good measure—only if you want them.
I’m based near Bristol, in the South West, but shoot weddings all across the UK and abroad. So if you think I’d be a great fit for your wedding day – let’s chat!
