Tidal Topographics – new set

Something a little different from what may be expected of me. But it was only inevitable that eventually my move away from the city to live by the coast, here in Somerset, would impact and change what I would photograph.

Though, in many ways, it’s really a return to the abstract work I use to produce years ago – inspired by the great abstract-expressionist photographer, Aaron Siskind.

So, with my new series you can share in my ambient beach wanderings. Gaze into these tidal topographics and see within the abstract re-representations distant mountain ranges, deep forests, raging flames, birds in flight, great warriors and traditional dancers. Or see your own re-readings. Everything is possible and nothing is mine. For each tide brings its own new maps of abstract interpretations.
