I’m absolutely delighted to say that my image “Love Hearts” will be part of a 36 image street photography exhibition, at the Gallery Photiq in Royal Leamington Spa, UK.
Running from 10 September to the 5 October, the exhibition attracted over 360 submissions, so I’m thrilled my image was chosen to be one of the 36 images to be selected for exhibiting.
The image itself I shot on a short weekend trip to London back in May of this year. I was with my brother taking a wander along Albert Embarkment and, on noticing the hearts on the wall (a Covid memorial to those who passed during the pandemic), I mused how great it would be if someone with one of those ‘I Heart London’ t-shirts came by.
Literally moments later this young girl came walking along, and even better she was decked out in a top and trousers covered in hearts! I couldn’t believe my luck. However, it’s not the first time I’ve ‘envisioned’ an image with my brother only for the image to come to fruition! Luck, mere coincidence or had the street photography heard my wishes?
Whatever if it was, I was delighted to get the shot!
